It's the FoxPro/Mac user interface (screens) that is really slow. Database operations and non-screen program execution is very fast on the Mac. However, the slow user interface creates the perception among end users that FoxPro/Mac is really slow. I've been using FP 2.6a/Mac recently on a client's lowly Quadra 610 for data procesing -- extracting data from mainframe data dumps and inserting into dbfs -- and I can tell you it is fast. Also, from what I've heard, FoxPro PPC version isn't really as PPC native as it could be. Andrew Warner awarner@cais.com ` ` ` ` ` `
