JDBC login to Informix 7.xx

We're trying to write a batch program in java, which should connect to an Informix database using JDBC. It is of course possible to store the userid and password in, for instance, environment variables, or to hard code them into the program, but for security reasons, that is clearly not an option for us. Is it possible to logon to informix with JDBC using the currently logged on user. I.e. without having to send the userid and password (how)?
