Re: dbimport aborts with -329

The dbexport came from another Windows 2000 box in the office.
The customer's data was converted onto a database on that box
.
When we got their server into our office, we dbexported/dbimported onto it.
The boss make some further mods to the data on our machine and asked me to
move it again. (dropping the database first, of course).
I've used dbimport/dbexport many times like this among various machines
here, including
a Sun 4000 and a few dual pentiums II's and III's.
I've never had any issues with it.
The customer box is a quad pentium 4 with fast scsi's., but the OS is the
same.
It looks like I have to re-install Informix tomorrow, set up the spaces,
logs, etc,
and import again.
I just don't understand why dbimport aborts with -329 after creating the
database
and then not loading any tables.
It has to be related to the fact that ontape reports -329 upon trying a
level 0
and says that it cannot find the sysmaster database.
I finally got the data across using onunload/unload, but then I could not
get the logging
turned on because of the ontape problem (duh!).
I just hope I don't ever see this problem again ;-{
