Re: Please HELP! INFORMIX-CLI 2.5 & Internet Database Connentor (MS IIS 3.0)

So now you don't only have to get the Informix connectivity software set up, but you have to configure the locale at every users workstation, a concept somwhat foreign on an MS Windows based computer. Again if you got rid of the CLI product and used a real ODBC driver you could do all this configuration once on the server and be finished with it. One supplier of such a product is OpenLink (http://www.openlinksw.com). If this starts to sound like a campaign from me, it is. Informix realy need to get their act together on this connectivity bussiness if they want to sell their products in the MS Windows world as they say they do. In the meantime we will have to use the other excelent solutions that are luckily available. Informix should either buy the company that supply these products or at least resell them. If they continue down the current road they can't possibly win.
