Re: Moving from Unix Inofmix to NT Informix

I believe that since the lock mode is created at the table level so
you can run a dbschema -d <databasename> -ss to see if the tables have
been defined with lock mode row. The default is page so if it is page,
you can alter the tables in the db to be lock mode row. I don't think
the lock mode on the table can be overridden except if you want to
lock the table explicitly in a transaction, which is opposite of what
you are trying to achieve.

Hi all,
Well. We have recently updated our VB5.0/RDO 2.0 based client programs. The
client programs talk to our Unix based Informix Server 7.31 through
Intersolve 3.01 and Informix CLI 7.23. It seems that the rowlocking works
fine on this Informix server.
But the customer has got a Win NT based Informix Server (ver. ???). Can we
somehow make sure, that our client programs does rowlocking at the Win NT to
? And hopefully NOT pagelocking. (We're setting up a NT Server in a test
enviroment right now, but just in case...)
