Read only connection

Hi. I have installed IBM Informix Connect 3.82 32 BIT driver for connecting to a Informix Dynamic Server 9 for Linux. I have configured the driver and works fine but I don't know if I can restrict read access. Is there any option for configure the driver in a read only connection?? Thanks in advance.

I don't think that such a general option exists. You could define a new user on the server, and grant only "connect" and "select" privileges to him, and then connect to the database using that username.
