There is a requirement to move some of our databases from Informix 12.10.FC6 (hoping to upgrade to 12.10.FC9 in 2 months) on to SQL Server 2016. Here are some questions: 1. Is there a tool(s) that does this effectively? 2. Is there a tool(s) to convert Informix onunload or archive files to be compatible to restore SQL Server databases? 3. Is there a tool(s) to convert an Informix Archive file on HPUX to restore an Informix instance on Windows?

The answer to all three is no. What you can do is to export the data to flat files and import it into any other server. For the transfer from Informix on HP to Informix on Windows (WHY would you do that to yourself?) you can use dbexport/dbimport or my dbexport/dbimport replacement tool package, myexport/myimport which are faster. You can download myexport (includes myimport) and the utils2_ak package on which it depends, from my web site - www.askdbmgt.com/my-utilities for free.
