On the Online-Server, you need I-STAR (not required for versions >= 6.0, it's built into the server there); on the client side, you need I-NET/PC and and ODBC driver (e.g. Intersolv Q+E). There are, however, ODBC implementations which don't require the I-NET/I-STAR stuff and separate ODBC drivers. Instead, you have to install their own proprietary software on the server and their "generic" ODBC driver on the client. Pick whatever suits your needs best.
