DATA WAREHOUSE ARCHITECT/CONSULTANT-Surrey c'60,000+Car, Stock Options +Many Benefits My client one of the fastest growing Fortune 500 companies which makes for an incredible and stimulating working atmosphere. They are now recruiting for a senior level Architect responsible for Europe-wide projects who will be based out of the UK HQ. Working on projects valued from $1/2 m upwards this position is to head up their Data Warehousing group with special responsibility for large distributed databases and servers. Ideally you will also have an excellent knowledge of 3rd party products and tools such as those used for data extraction/mining, data cleansing or OLAP/DSS eg Red Brick, IQ, Business Objects etc, as well as a deep understanding of the systems side. Your main expertise however will be in the design and architecture of major client-server solutions and understanding the systems integration issues involved in relation to high availability, high-end Unix servers. Due to the nature and cost of these projects you will require sound commercial awareness and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have around 10-15 years within IT with at least the last 5 years spent with a major systems integrator or vendor in a revenue earning role. Experience of major Unix and RDBMS technology and TCP/IP is essential. Any skill in distributed middleware technology will be highly advantageous.
