New submission
My new submission, utils2_ak, is now available on the IIUG Software
Repository. It includes an updated version of dostats.ec that permits
one to specify resolution and confidence values to the UPDATE
STATISTICS commands that are generated as well as six new utilities.
Highlights:
o printfreeB.ec, reports the space actually used and free
within a table's (and its indexes) allocated extents like oncheck -pT
but without locking the table.
o myschema.ec, like dbschema but does not need exclusive access to the
table. (What a novel idea, to be able to get a schema on a
production database!)
o listdb7.ec, reports on what databases, and optionally tables, exist
in an instance. Options report dbspace, logging mode, owner, date
of creation, etc. Great for tracking down what tables reside in a
particular dbspace.
o dbcopy.ec, quickly copy data from onw table/database to another even
if the two databases have DIFFERENT LOGGING modes! VERY FAST!
Hope someone finds these useful. Thanks to Jonathon Leffler for help
making the source far more portable. Enjoy.
