9.21.UC5XF AIX 5.2 (Yes, we are trying to get our customer upgraded to 10.00.UC8 by EOQ1 2009.) We are experiencing an issue where we attempt to create the following replicate on the root server: cdr def repl -c yyy_serv -C timestamp -S row -R -A misc_mut_calc \\\\ "miscdb@yyy_serv:root.mut_calc" "select * from mut_calc" \\\\ "miscdb@xxx_serv:root.mut_calc" "select * from mut_calc"; The replicate is created on the yyy_serv as INACTIVE but is not created on the xxx_serv. The shadow table is not on the xxx_serv but is on the yyy_serv. Though the cdr error command does not list this particular table, it does list prior issues with the inability to create the delete table. There is quite a bit of space within the dbspace so it should have been able to create the table. I looked for the shadow table of the INACTIVE replicate on the root server and could not find it there. Can anyone suggest anything for me to look at to resolve the inability to create a shadow (cdr_deltab) table within the root server - as I am guessing that is why I see the replicate created on the yyy_serv but not on the xxx_serv? Thanks in advance ... any assistance will be appreciated. Take care. Clifton M. Thanks for responding, Madison. The root server is the xxx_server. I forgot to mention that we had received this message ... on both servers within seconds of each: CDR CDRDS: transaction aborted (Error in retrieving the replicate's attributes) This morning, the replicate was created successfully ... AFTER changing the -c yyy_serv to -c xxx_serv within the replicate definition. The replicate was defined as INACTIVE on both servers. A cdr start command was then issued and was successful and record inserted demostrate that replication is indeed active. Any ideas as to why the "switch"? I do not see any messages in either of the log files that are out of the norm. Are we "safe"? Take care. Clifton M.
