error 747

Hi all! I need delete a record using triggers and stored procedures. When other system insert a record in a table, an inserting trigger is executed; several things must be relized using this trigger, and then the record inserted at the begining must be deleted. When I try to delete it, Informix returns error 747, and deleting operation cannot be executed. My system is IDS 7.24.UC7 with HP-UX 10.20 Thanks. If so, this is not supported! You can not modify your triggered table by itself. Have a look to finderr -747: "This error is returned when a triggered SQL statement acts on the triggering table ....." Wile
