Database Administrator -- Provide database administration for a large state of the art, World-wide ORACLE 7 database. Activities to include database design, trigger and stored procedure development, resource management, SQL and PL/SQL development and performance tuning, optical archival system, and general database administration duties. INGRES, SYBASE, and INFORMIX DBA experience will be considered in lieu of ORACLE background. Knowledge of Pro*C and effective communication skills a plus. B.S. in CS or related field required. This high profile position in the World Wide Computer Integrated Manufacturing organization is responsible for the development and support of Oracle databases in support of AMD's engineering and manufacturing operations. The primary system is a distributed/replicated 300+ gig engineering database on Solaris and HP UX machines with databases in all of AMD's manufacturing sites, Austin TX, Sunnyvale CA, Bangkok Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore.
