It was a workaround for a bug in Solaris 2.4. It was ignored and inoperative in Solaris 2.5 (2.5.1?); it generates a warning at boot time in Solaris 2.6 and Solaris 7. If you're not using Solaris 2.4, you can (and should) omit it from /etc/system. If it is not already a bug in PTS, a bug should be created demanding that it is removed from the release notes, etc. -- Yours, Jonathan Leffler (Jonathan.Leffler@Informix.com) #include <disclaimer.h> Guardian of DBD::Informix v1.00.PC1 -- http://www.perl.com/CPAN "I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it!"
