It is my understanding also that it is the libraries. I did this on an HP-UX ( we run online 7.22) -- on the production machine I re-installed everything. On a dev. machine I tried only the ESQL/C install and it also went fine -- I think it depends on the individual install. With the dynamic server -- the complete re-install only means re-installing the software -- it does not mean re-installing the database. I would think this true for OWS also. I did an archive before I did both -- but ran into no problems. The re-install of the software goes very fast.
