ISM volume mount problem

Hi folks,
I've a problem with a volume in the ISM. ISM starts up correctly but I
cannot do any backups with onbar.
I looked in the log files and found the problem. After a system crash,
my ISM Volume is not longer writable.
ism/log/daemon.log:
...
08/01/08 12:15:57 nsrd: media info: file disk ISMLogs was being
written before crash
...
ism_show -volume ISMLogs
...
22517 INFORMIX:/baan/0/923 5247848 08/01/08
22518 INFORMIX:/baan/0/924 5247848 08/01/08
22519 INFORMIX:/baan/0/925 i 0 08/01/08
(The last logical log backup wasn't successful because we had a system
crash)
ism_show -volumes
volume pool flags written (%) expires
ISMLogs ISMDiskLogs d 3187 MB 100%
07/30/10
The volume is bigger than 3 GB ( I think it is an 30 GB volume). What
means the "d" Flag. I can't found any informations in the Informix
System Administration Manual.
When I try to unmount and mount the volume via ism_op I got an error
nsrmm: cannot seek on volume /informix/baan/logarch : Bad file number
Any suggestions how I get this volume writable again. I won't label it
because I need the backup files on the disk. And I don't have an other
device, yet.
Thanks,
Christian.
Hi,
the manual to consult is the "IBM Informix
Storage Manager Administrator?s Guide" (rather than
the "System Admin Guide/Refernce" manuals.
Though I can't find the documentation of the "d" flag
value. :-(
Have you checked that the device is mounted
properly (e.g. "ism_show -devices")?
Please see the manual - it still may give you some ideas
on what is wrong ...
Regards,
Martin
