Hi Have anybody managed to get I4gl to work with gcc on AIX? I have I4gl 7.30.UC4 / GCC V.2.95.2 and AIX 4.3.2.0. Every thing compiles ok, but when i try to display or input data with form fields the program core dumps. Pleae have a look at bruger.4gl and dbx output btw. I had to remove "-qarch=com -qchars=signed " from A env. cmd in c4gl. Gcc didn't recognize them. Regards Michael c4gl -static -o bruger bruger.4gl main define p_bruger integer open form bru from "bruger" display form bru clear form # OK display "Test" at 1,2 # OK display "Test" at 23,75 # OK display "Test" at 10,15 # OK sleep 2 display p_bruger to formonly.bruger # core segmentation fault # OR input p_bruger from formonly.bruger # core segmentation fault end main /appl/paller-v4>dbx bruger core Type 'help' for help. reading symbolic information ...warning: no source compiled with -g [using memory image in core] Segmentation fault in _reclookup at 0xd1d029d8 0xd1d029d8 (_reclookup+0xac) 9b7e0000 stb r27,0x0(r30) (dbx) where _reclookup(??) at 0xd1d029d8 _frmflookup(??) at 0xd1d027dc fldsurvey(??, ??, ??, ??) at 0xd1d1509c _mfinput(??, ??, ??, ??, ??, ??) at 0xd1d176b8 main(0x1, 0x2ff22838) at 0x10000650 (dbx)

When you use gcc to compile 4GL you have to add the -fwritable-strings to the compile line (just add it to the compile lines in c4gl) as 4GL is not well behaved and writes to static strings all the time.
