I would like to know if any of you has ever used a software product to synchronize Informix databases with any other database. Thanks a lot.

While I am not quite sure what you mean by this and not quite sure how I'd classify our technology as software or hardware... I think we use a combo ... We have Informix on EMC disk storage (hardware). We use EMC's BCV and SRDF technology (software) to do database copies (sync PRD to test systems) and keep our disaster site database in-sync with our production database. These are all informix databases (informix sync to informix). EMC with BCV and SRDF is amazingly wonderful. >>synchronize Informix databases with any other database. maybe you mean you are looking for informix to oracle or ? -----Original Message----- From: mgroveres@yahoo.com [mailto:mgroveres@yahoo.com] Sent: Friday, April 11, 2003 6:43 PM To: ids@iiug.org; forum.subscriber@iiug.org Subject: Data synchronization [912] I would like to know if any of you has ever used a software product to synchronize Informix databases with any other database. Thanks for the answers. I finally found a Sybase product that supports replication between heterogeneous databases including Informix.
