Hi Gurus,
I'm running a external table select, unload of tables, some are success but
one is not. I got the below error message:
------WITH the %r it fails ------
SELECT *
FROM table
INTO EXTERNAL table_target
USING ( DATAFILES
(
"DISK:/DIR/DATA/table/table.%r(1..).u"
),
DELIMITER ""
);
26184: Could not parse r macro in filename /DIR/DATA/table/table.%r(1..).u.
111: ISAM error: no record found.
Error in line 9Near character position 9
---------WITHOUT the %r it works---------------
SELECT *
FROM table
INTO EXTERNAL table_target
USING ( DATAFILES
(
"DISK:/DIR/DATA/table/table.u"
),
DELIMITER ""
);
Any idea why it fails? there's just 268K records on the table.
That %r(1..) is missing its upper limit, e.g. %r(1..5).

Your %r range needs and end point:
SELECT *
FROM table
INTO EXTERNAL table_target
USING ( DATAFILES
("DISK:/DIR/DATA/table/table.%r(1..7).u"
),
DELIMITER ""
);
