more DBLOAD ?'s
Posted in 1994
I have really gotten to like dbload, but I have a few
questions/problems...
1) I have a load file consisting of a date-time and a date field.
One is in the format of YYMMDD and the other is HHMISS
I useds the DBDATE env variable to load the YYMMDD (using Y2MD0),
however can I somehow also specify how to load the time.
The problem is... these data types as they come from the load file do
not have the standard delimiters (HH:MI:SS), so they are unhappy
loading.
2) I also have a similar problem with a MONEY type. The load file is in
the following format : DDDDCC (where d is dollar and c is cent). I have
been loading this as 2 interger columns and seperating dollars from
cents. This makes calculations and elegant display unheard in this
case. BUT how do I tell dbload that the decimal point belongs in
between the DDDD and the CC?
Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!
