Ok here's more detail information.
Here's an output of onstat -l:
INFORMIX-OnLine Version 7.12.UC1 -- On-Line (CKPT REQ) -- Up 1 days

So all the logical logs are full.
LTAPEDEV in the onconfig file points to a file in the file system.
When I try to do an backup using ontape, I get the following output:
# ontape -aServer is in an incompatible state
Program over.
#
The server ist still online and works ok regarding select statements. I
still can connect usind dbaccess ar the web interface to the db.
I also brought the whole engine down and started it again. Well, without success.
Can I simply add an new logical log file and try again?
thanks for any help
