COMPUTERS / BUSINESS: DATA CONVERSION ANALYST / SUPPORT for a dynamic software company. Work with clients to convert data from application programs proprietary files to relational database (Informix). The conversion responsibilities include: - mapping of the data fields between the two systems - writing and running conversion programs - supporting clients in installing and loading their data - creating conversion tools - documenting the conversion process and the specifications of each project - work with clients to write specifications and mapping for interface programs and working with programmers to build the interfaces based on the specifications Work in a UNIX environment, using the Informix relational database. The candidate should have knowledge of writing queries in SQL, UNIX shell programming. Other UNIX utilities such as "awk" are a plus. Our company writes international portfolio management software.
