New files in IIUG Software Repository

I have added a number of files to the IIUG Software Repository that have been waiting to be installed, some for quite a while. Here is a listing of files recently added or updated. If you have Web access, you can view or download the files by clicking on links found on the page "http://www.iiug.org/software/software_index.html";. If you are using FTP, go to "ftp://ftp.iiug.org/pub/informix/". Most of the files are in the "pub" directory, but the ones ending in ".sh" are in the directory "das/ESQL-C". Note also that the files in "pub" have been compressed, so you will need to add ".Z" to the names listed below to retrieve them. The files: add_date_eom adds/subtracts dates, forcing bad results to end-of-month (SPL) browser browses an array (4GL) datelib_ak date functions (C,YACC/BISON) db_ontape runs ontape (SH,PERL) dbinfo_lk displays INFO statement output (SQL,AWK) dbinfo.sh prints the schema of a database table dbldfmt converts a fixed-field-length file to LOAD format (C) dbreorg.sh generates SQL to reorganize a database table or index dbstats programs to list databases and run UPDATE STATISTICS (ESQL/C) dbupdates.sh generates SQL to update statistics for a database or table defrag_table defragments tables (PERL,SQL) disk_struct displays the disk structure for the current instance (4GL,SH) esql_c++ files for compiling ESQL/C programs with C++ (SH,ESQL/C,C) ifx_admin database administration utility package (C,SH) ifx_utils database administration scripts and programs (PERL,C,4GL) intvl_conv functions to convert intervals (ESQL/C,SPL) intvl_round rounds intervals (4GL) lockrep reports tables locked by users (SH,AWK) makedic makes a data dictionary listing file (4GL) maxextents determines total number of extents for a table (C,JAVA) need_inc_4gl determines if a 4GL program requires an include file (JAVA) random_4gl random number generator for 4GL (C) save_idx saves and recreate indexes (SH,AWK) sccstools collection of tools for working with SCCS (C,SH) soundex_ius Soundex function for use in with Illustra/Universal Server (C) sqrt_4gl sqrt() function for 4gl (C) sysmast_sql SQL scripts to be used with the sysmaster database (SQL) tab_col_frm table/column information screen file (SPERFORM) termcap_keys helps determine special key values for termcap entries (C) trigger_test tests triggers and stored procedures from 4GL (4GL,SQL) upper_spl methods for upshifting characters in SPL (SQL,SPL) vari_functs functions using variable values (4GL,C) virtual_os provides a wrapper around operating system type calls (NewEra) If you have problems accessing any of these files, or if you would like to contribute something to the archive, please contact "software@iiug.org".
