Hi all Does HPL have a limit on the size of files it can load? I have a 5Gb file and it's falling over about half-way through with an "aio error code 4" - this'll be at about the 2Gb point. Any ideas for a workaround? Cheers, Jon.

What version of the engine are you using and what OS? I don't believe the 64-bit version has a 2GB limitation (but I'm just speculating there). If you're running 32-bit, then split the file up into <2GB chunks.

Damn.

It's 7.31UC7 on AIX 4.3.3. The OS is 64-bit, and has no limitation,
so it must be a problem with HPL.

Yeah, guess I'll have to. It's a little strange, because the file
was produced by dbaccess on the same box, so the limitation obviously
doesn't exist in that program.
Cheers,
Jon.
