RE: Table Owner Rename

You will damage your table beyond repair! You also do not need (or want to use) the owner when referencing the table. This may be easier and strategically better. I had a table "dba.tablename" that was being referenced by a bunch of reports. I ran a job as user "informix", which unloaded all the data, dropped the table and then recreated it and reloaded it. Obviously, the table's name is now "informix.tablename". The rename command does not affect the owner part of the table. Informix tells me that I can only rename the owner part of the table by performing the same process I performed above. Is there a quicker way to rename such table? Will making changes to the systables' owner column of that table cause damage? Thanks.
