Re: ISQL forms on NT?

Nobody seems to have answered your similar question from a few days ago. It may be because people think the question is too far out in the fields. 1. Why would you even attempt to do something like this? Why not continue to use Unix for the db and use MS Windows as workstations. With a good terminal emulator you can continue to use your ISQL forms/reports while you make new GUI applications on Windows. At a later time, when the GUI applications are finished, you will have the option of switching to Windows NT as a database server with no changes in the applications. At that time you can set up an NT server side by side with the Unix server and see which you like best. 2. You can't run ISQL on Windows NT. It's a Unix tool, and I know of noone who have made a similar product for NT. There are however several good GUI development tools that can be used to develop similar applications (just with a GUI and possibly more functionallity). That's your only bet. Do you have some upper management gone wild? Lynn Giles - Platforms <lynng@redac.co.uk> wrote: :We are planning on using either SE or Workgroup server on NT. Currently :there is no ISQL for NT.
