Data migration from Online5.10 -> IDS2000 v9.21FC2

Hi, We are running Online 5.10UC2 on a DEC alpha2100 TruUnix64 v4.0F. The plan is to migrate to IDS2000 v9.21FC2. We have 12 different databases all contained in 12Gig of disk space. Here is the question, Using dbexport and dbimport, is it necessary to dbimport all the databases into an instance of DS7.33 and then do the engine upgrade to 9.21 or can the dbexported databases be dbimported directly into the IDS2000(9.2) instance without going thru DS7.33? I've looked at the Migration guide and specifically Figure1-3 which indicates we must migrate to 7.2 or 7.3 prior to migration to 9.2. Based on this diagram we will probably migrate to 7.x prior to installing IDS2000. However, I thought I would ask all of you for some input. Does anybody know if/why this step is really necessary? Has anybody migrated from Online 5.x to IDS2000 with/without going thru 7.x? What were you experiences? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Walter Guertin

Walter, I am planning to do the same thing ... to migrate hundreds of Online 5.0.8 to 9.20. Any help in this area is greatly appreciated.
