Hi,
I want to reconfigure NTP service in the HDR primary & secondary server.
Please guide me with the steps. As per my logic:
1. Stop secondary.
2. Stop primary.
3. NTP conf in primary & secondary servers.
4. Start primary.
5. Start secondary.
6. onmode -d primary <secondary> in primary
7. onmode -d secondary <primary> in secondary.
Please confirm if I am doing right.
Regards,
SB
What is your IDS version?
What is the Value of DR AUTO ?
Step 6 and Step 7 will not be required as per my knowledge.
Thanks

Thanks for the response. Here we are using IDS 11.5 (update 6) i.e., IBM Informix Dynamic Server Version 11.50.FC6WE. And the DRAUTO is set to 2. Regards, Sridip
I suspect that the only thing you'd be wise to do is to bring the two
servers down while installing NTP and then bring them back up. I don't
think that steps 6 and 7 are needed.

Assuming they are in the same timezone, then use the standard date to
apply a delta and get the machine in sync with the ntp server, then just
start ntp - it just works. The key is to let the machine times drift to a
sync.
