Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Setting up HDR on IDS 11.70.FC7 (HP-UX), the secondary refused to start, reporting that STACKSIZE didn't match (96 on one server, 64 on the other) and shutting down. The obvious advice was to make the ONCONFIG values identical, but the poster showed both servers already had STACKSIZE 64. Others pointed out the value is only read at startup, so the running servers may have picked up different values; suggestions were to check sysmaster's sysconfig table on both machines and to bounce both instances so they re-read the config. The thread ends there with no confirmation of a fix.

Informix = IBM Informix Dynamic Server Version 11.70.FC7GE
Unix = HP-UX rafdr B.11.31
I am trying to set up HDR between two servers. After I successfully ran the
command "onmode -d primary serverA" , I ran the command "onmode -d secondary
serverB" I then get the following message :
"DR: Secondary server connected
10:32:29 DR: Configuration parameter values of the paired servers do not match:
Parameter: STACKSIZE
Current server's value: 96
Paired server's value: 64
The parameter values must match.
10:32:29 DR:Shutting down the server."
Can anyone help me with this.
I dunno if I'm just being dumb here, but have you tried setting the STACKSIZE
to the same value on both servers?

You have changed the STACKSIZE in the onconfig on the primary but not on
the secondard (64 is default).
Amend the secondary to match the primary (as the error message suggests !!)
and try again.
Keith
Might be an idea to check the other parameters, they should all be the same.

That is the value in the onconfig file at this moment in time, was it this
value when the server was started ??
This value is read once on startup and cannot be changed interactively,
only on a restart.

Sounds like the onconfig has the same STACKSIZE but what both servers read in
at initialization is different. Bounce both servers and see if it's fixed.
