unloading datablade rows
Posted in 2003
Until now each night we are doing a complete unload of all tables o a database. Over the years this ws the best solution for us to get a complete and portable backup. We often use such a complete backup to load it into a newly generated database for some tests. even if the complete system was killed iis simple to build a new one or to migrate fromsone ids version to another version. But now I have a question. We are trying to use the web-datablade (a great tool), the unload of the tables of the web-datablade do look very strange (often multiline). Is it possibe to load an empty database (web-datablade registered) with an formerly unload of the tables of the web-datablade? There is no info in the doks. there are several tables completely managed by the web-datablade itself, how do they behave when unloaded/loaded? I have not tried it until now because I don't want to kill all the work done until yet if anything during unloadxload fails. -- -------------------------------- Andre Koppel Software Berlin - QNX 2/4/6/RTP - LINUX - - SOLARIS - INFORMIX - Tel: +49 700 21567735 FAX: +49 30 32601046 EMail: akoppel@akso.de URL: www.akso.de --------------------------------
