All's swell that ends swell... After extensive testing between myself, Informix UK and Menlo Park, a solution has finally been found. It was indeed (as not doubt the large majority of you suspected) a bug which Informix have (seemingly) corrected. This bug, only apparent in the B1 secure server versions of Online v5.0, was related to the mysterious covert tables which were not being correctly updated with the UPDATEd information. So far all seems to be OK - although extensive testing will continue.
