Dumb mistakes. - some idio^H^H^person I once trained had LTXHWM and LTXEHWM set too high and filled their logs. 30 and 40 should be made manadatory. You can have 32767 logical logs - use more logs. And make them all the same size. - some idio^H^Hperson I know recently managed to disable logical log backups. ..hence the logs filled! - Most DBAs do not read the release notes. Set kernel parameters before starting an instance. - Make sure SERVERNUM and service names are unique.
