Informix JDBC 2.0 driver introduced a new feature called 'HTTP Tunneling Proxy'. As I understood it relies on a servlet IfxJDBCProxy to provide the tunneling. I'm not sure but I think this feature could be present in Informix JDBC 1.5 dirver, too.
