Q: Online Optical vs. Online for HP M/O Jukeboxes

Does anyone know if/how HP Magneto Optical jukeboxes are supported and what is required to configure one for Online Optical? If so what are the benefits of using the Optical features vs. treating the tower like a bunch regular magnetic raw disk devices? I understand that there may be some sort of "rescan" function that allows a copy of a CD or MO disk to be placed into the tower to restore after a disk failure as opposed to recovery from logs. Is this true? Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
