Sysprofile question

IDS 9.4 on AIX 5.2.
I'm trying to monitor some statistics for multiple instances, so I'm
pulling (among other things) a bunch of values from sysprofiles. I have
a couple of servers that are very busy, and the value in the bufreads
row keeps rolling over. Is there any way to tell how many times that has
occurred, so I can compensate? Is there a better way to pull this
information?
For instance, `onstat -p` tells me I have 6572527610 buffer reads, while
sysprofiles at (about) the same time says -2019163235 (and is increasing
toward zero), so somehow the onstat is figuring this out, but my script
keeps pulling nonsensical values.
Thanks.

In 9.4+ the values column in sysshmhdr (the pseudo-table underlying the
sysprofile VIEW) is an INT8. If you are fetching it into an int that will give
you incorrect results.

Hmm. I'm looking in the sysmaster.sql file and I see:
create table sysshmhdr { Internal Use Only}
(
number integer, { unique identifier for element
}
name char(16), { name of rhead_t element
}
value integer { value of rhead_t element
}
);
Our 10.0 instances do declare it as an int8, but this doesn't (I've
checked FC5 and FC8). Is there another workaround that anybody knows
about?
