Seek Employment- D.C, Richmond Areas

The federal agency I work for is preparing for a very significant reduction-in-force. We've been warned that technical series, such as Computer Specialist (334), will be targeted. In an effort to avoid being "unemployed" I'm canvassing for possible employment opportunities, primarily government agencies (to retain time-in-service), but private sector jobs will be considered. I'm posting on this list because I've primarily worked with Informix products in the last few years. I'm interested in the Washington DC area (north of Richmond VA, south of Silver Spring MD). Synopsis of experience (a detailed resume is available): Operating System: DOS, UNIX (SysV), Windows(NT,3.1x) X-Windows Network: TCP/IP, PPP, SLIP, NT RAS, UUCP, NFS, PC Anywhere Software: Informix(SQL,ESQL/C,4GL,NewEra,Online 5.02, SE 5.02), Paradox(3.5,4.0), MS-Access 2.0, 'C', COBOL, JCL, PSText-Plus(PostScript), X-Windows, Westmount, Fourgen, Oracle (blechhh) Irwin Walters (rick.walters@ccmail.irs.gov)
