Hi, I have some problem here. I try to start IDS by typing oninit but there are no error messages so I thought the server already running. But when I try to check with onstat - it says shared memory no initialized for INFORMIXSERVER 'dbserver' I tried to initialized from onmonitor but always failed. I hope someone can tell me what the correct procedure to start IDS. Thank you very much. Oka

What happens from the command line when you type 'oninit -v'?
