Hi
Is there a function in Informix Dynamic Server 2000 that is like Oracles
CREATE SEQUENCE that uses NEXTVAL/CURVAL and %ROWCOUNT, ect?
Thanks for all contributions

Not directly. The basic analog is the SERIAL column, but it does not
work the same as a sequence. You can simulate sequences fairly
effectively if you are careful. We had a fairly extensive email
discussion about this internally a couple of weeks ago, some of it
potentially useful. There are some tricky parts to it all. And IDS
2000 9.30 is supposed to have Oracle-style sequences in it.

What is %ROWCOUNT? ROWNUM I've heard of, but not %ROWCOUNT...
What is "ect", etc? :-)
