Full memory even if I set SHMTOTAL

Hi, My server got full memory (Windows 2008 R2), even if I set SHMTOTAL to 16 GB, the system go more over this value until it reach the all memory of the machine (52 GB). when I shutdown the database (onmode -kuy), the memory is got free. is there any issu with some parameterss: Informix 11.70 FC5 on Windows 2008 R2 Regards

Hello. It seems you are using vp memory cache without the "static" word, after the cache size. Try setting that. A second good practice is to schedule an onmode -F with a good period of execution, according to your memory fill rate. There are some kinds of problems in shared memory free segment on 11.70. If you want to search your specific engine APARs, you can google for "search informix APAR". Putting your version you may look for specific known issues. Hope it helps. Best regards. Are you sure this is shared memory that's being allocated beyond SHMTOTAL? Once going over those configured 16 SHMTOTAL, would you also see this=20 reflected in 'onstat -g seg' ? Hello. You must have some message in your online.log file, some mt_alloc failure, right? Please post the lines before memory outage, and we can help.
