I am setting up a small demo database with only cooked filespaces, all on the same disk. Any suggestions of how many NUMAIOVPS I should start with? 2 per cooked space? Thanks david.tamburin@protegrity.com

I think that the manuals say 2 but surely that would mean that the disk MAY trash between 2 areas?? Surely one per disk since the heads can only be in one place at a time and disks are much slower than CPUs? >Thanks >david.tamburin@protegrity.com > -- David Williams
Depending on how many chunks you will be creating. I would create one per
cooked chunk + 1 for the physical and logical logs ( if they are on
different chunks AND you are using transaction logging ).
If performance isn't goig to be a problem then just ad 2. Monitor the wait
and sleep queues and if they are getting excessive, increase the number of
AIOVP's dynamically with 'onmode -p +aio'
