Woohoo a reply from the Kagelmeister - just what I was hoping for ! :) I shall certainly add in some level 0 archives - the safe side is my kinda side. And yes, I see your point about RAID10 being unwarranted with just two disks. Been so busy choosing RAID levels, which apps on which disks of which size on which controllers ... (I'm re-jigging the entire machine - the machine is *very* "multi-role"), I left a zero on the end of RAID1 that wasn't needed :). Thanks again, much appreciated !
