corrupt raw device

One of our disc packs crashed somehow yesterday. All the partitions that were part of the filesystem needed fsck'ing to fix them after the machine was restarted. We also have some raw devices with the informix database on them. These must have been corrupted somehow too, because the database now fails to start with an error from tbinit which reports the device as being invalid. Are there any tools which could recover the database from the raw devices? Our system is a Sun Sparc server. I can't recall the version of Informix (I'm not at work now so I can't check), but it's quite an old one. Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
Sounds like a restore from archive to me. You do have a recent archive, don't you...?
