[Following on from my previous response] ......also, the server side needs to have 'sagent' running, and, as you say, listening to the srv_agent port. You define the ports to sagent in the osahosts file in informix/etc (server side). This is similar to sqlhosts in format. You can also modify the startup parameters for sagent in the startsa script on the server (informix/bin, I think). Then, let it rip. I've had folloup problems with sagent (on AIX 4.2), and eventually removed it. I'll put it back again after a couple of versions have passed. Good luck to you. -- Bryan Tonnet batonnet@phase4.com.au
