using Informix Dynamic 7.10 on Solaris with enviroment variable LANG=de and DBNLS=1 trying to access my database with JDK 1.2.2/ Informix JDBC Driver jdbc211jc1 from NT, follwing error message appears: java.sql.SQLException: DBNLS is not set or LC_COLLATE must be 'com.informix.asf. IfxASFRemoteException: de'. at java.lang.reflect.Constructor.newInstance(Native Method) at com.informix.jdbc.IfxDriver.connect(IfxDriver.java, Compiled Code) at java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection(DriverManager.java:457) at java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection(DriverManager.java:159) at IFXTest.main(IFXTest.java:27) What else do I have to set - LC_COLLATE and where - on server or as Connection parameter? And which value do I have to take for LC_COLLATE? Any hint would be useful. Thanks in advance Regards, Uwe
