A conscientious programmer is concerned with normalization and data integrity, etc. I've talked with DBA's who don't like referential integrity and, as a programmer I've yet to convince an employer that it's important enough to implement, but I try. My guess is that your attitude as a programmer was not that much different than it is as a DBA. == Maintainer of the procrastinator's FAQ.
