Informix termcap for Solaris

We have a new client here that is using a SPARCstation 20 with Solaris 2.5 installed. They're having a problem with their application program using informix, they need the character "'" and they can't generate it. They're wondering if the Solaris termcap has something to do with it. They badly need the solution to this problem in the shortest possible time.
