Ray, Keep in mind that's *VERY* new HW, Informix port and especially OS you're sporting there...I would tend to expect quite a few flaky problems under the best of circumstances. At 2GB RAM you're just on the cusp of possibly having a genuine need for 11.0. Are you (shared) memory bound now, or likely to be soon?? In fact, is there a legit 7.23.UC1 port for HPUX 11?? Or did you just install a 10.x port and hope for the best? If you're going to throw money at a slow processing problem, look at EMC disk arrays with big memory caches - you may be shocked at the difference. Your IO config looks kinda weak to me. Greg
