Analyze requirements and design logical and physical data base designs. Develop program specifications. Develop program specifications. Develop and maintain a comprehensive data dictionary. Create Informix data base structure and SQL/Informix application programs for data input and extracts/reports. Update and maintain Informix data base tables. Ensure data base back-up files are created regularly. Produce and maintain data base administration manual/documentation. Provide general data base management functions and troubleshooting support. Job requirements: Must have 3 to 10 years of systems analysis/programming experience with 2 to 5 years in data base administration and/or systems development using an Informix data base and SQL. Prefer 1-5 years experience working in an AIX or UNIX environment. Must have a bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical field (e.g., MIS or CS). Must have applied knowledge of computer systems, peripherals, and other support devices. Must be a team player. Must have good verbal and written communications skills. Must have ability to work with minimal supervision and to apply independent judgement, initiative, discretion, and technical skills to business situations. Must have ability to troubleshoot problems and perform the corrective course of action. Salary Range: $32,000 - 48,000 (depending on experience) Type of Appointment: NSR is a systems integration contractor working in Santa Fe for the state Supreme Court on the New Mexico Judicial Information System (JIS) Project. JIS is an Informix-based system being created and implemented on IBM RS6000 AIX machines. Over the next 2.5 years, the system will be installed in all the district and magistrate courts throughout the state.
