Answer to SET EXPLAIN: Error -534

I have the database set to start when the machine boots. At this time, it is started by 'root'. On a suggestion by David Kleppinger, I bring it down and back up, only this time as 'informix', and voila, it works. I thank all of you for your thoughts, precious time and involvement. This is not good solution. SET EXPLAIN (and everything else) must work in the
same way when root strats engine. I think the reason is in ownership of ONINIT
file. So:
ls -l oninit
have to produce:
-rwsr-sr-- 1 root informix 4654164 Oct 24 1997 oninit

When you startup use the su command, ie
su - informix -c oninit I think is the syntax.
