But 7.20 and 7.31 for example are out of support. 4GL 7.32 and 7.50 are supported with IDS 11. Note that when a product A is released, it will only mention currently supported versions of other products (ideally, although I've seen weird cases in the past). One should note that traditionally, Informix has always provided backward compatibility with older tools even to the point that the current CSDK includes libraries that provide compatibility with applications compiled with ESQL/C v 7.24 which was the last version that did not support Universal Server features so the interface to the function library was very different. Yet, all current Informix servers still come with the 7.24 compatibility library and it is installed by default. That said, each version of IDS is released with specific releases of CSDK and iConnect (which are included in the distribution since 10.00), ISQL and C4GL/R4GL. These are the versions that I know: IDS 10.00, CSDK/iConnect 3.00, ISQL 7.??, C4GL/R4GL 7.?? -- But 10.00 is going out-of-support shortly anyway. IDS 11.10, CSDK/iConnect 3.10, ISQL 7.32, C4GL/R4GL 7.32 IDS 11.50, CSDK/iConnect 3.00, ISQL 7.50, C4GL/R4GL 7.50 For the most part, the fixpack versions have corresponded to those of the engine they were released with.
